Из Вики: "The name "orangutan" (also written orang-utan, orang utan, orangutang, and ourang-outang) is derived from the Malay and Indonesian words orang meaning "person" and hutan meaning "forest",[1] thus "person of the forest".[2] Orang Hutan was originally not used to refer to apes, but to forest-dwelling humans. The Malay words used to refer specifically to the ape is maias and mawas, but it is unclear if those words refer to just orangutans, or to all apes in general. А что, в России до сих пор требуют с учащихся уважения к старшим? И воспитывают оное?

По-моему, это один из корней российских бед. Уважение к старшим. Соответственно, неуважение к младшим (по званию). И неуважение к себе подобным.

хаскельцев подразнить

А вот непонятно, такое ощущение, что большинство хаскельцев хаскелем своим занимаются только дома на диване, а на работе всё больше си (++), а бывает и на джаве.
Ну за некоторыми небольшими исключениями - кто-то таки умудряется использовать этот великий язык в продакшене, ну и кто-то на скале выражает свои концепции. Но их мало! Их очень мало!

Языки Го, Котлин, Сишарп, Эфшарп, они существуют не как средства объединения людей, а как средства разъединения людей. А это нехорошо.
