I am not sure I understood your question. Maybe we need someone who could take care of our data, something like a DBA. I did not give it much thought though yet; this is a gray area.

Regarding what happened today, here it is.

In qa configuration, we did not have problems with images lately. The data are artificial, fake accounts, random images, etc. It worked, and it works.

Tuesday, as you saw, Kevin had switched test2 from qa configuration to test configuration. And we immediately saw that some of the images got inaccessible; I first thought it was a wrong configuration, but no, it was just the test data that were missing.

In test configuration, some of the data that were supposed to be copied from production tables are missing. That's what the guys in Brazil observed. The server is not "out", and here in MV anybody can upload images.

There is still one remaining P0 issue with images being uploaded through vpn - the operation hangs somewhere in between, and I'm investigating it.

If this is what you were asking.

why are we continuing to have problems with photos?

Hi, guys.

We are currently doing the bug bash with 8 people in Brazil. I think we are adding some valuable ideas.

Unfortunately, the photo server is out, so we loose some of our ability to analyze the visual.

For the next bugbashes I suggest we have someone responsible for keeping the evaluation infrastructure on.

Hi Kiran, Manu and Eduardo
Today, we did a bug bash in Mountain View for new redesign UI and we added all off of the bugs /comments to trix page.
Could you please organize the Bug bash for new redesign UI on Wednesday or Thursday in Bangalore and in Brazil and please use the same page http://go/orkutnewbugbash to add notes/comments/ bugs.
Please ask every one to use there own Orkut account for testing so we can feel how the UI look when we launch it.
URL for new ui is test2.int.orkut.com

Let me know if you have any questions
