I'm not a professional in this area; are you?

See, when they renamed GW to GCC, I kind of started wondering: will we have the oceans level rising? And is the CO2 concentration in the ocean water rising? It should be. And if ocean level is not rising (because there's no warming, just a climate change, right?), then what's the point? Yes, I understand, we better have the same climate as we used to have. But why then should US or China pay those countries that don't produce shit for not producing anything? Why not just stop producing for those countries (cutting the emission), so that they enjoy the clean air and the time free from iphones, cars, internets, etc.

Just got this:

"This month* your utility bill will include a credit identified as the “California Climate Credit.” Your household and millions of others throughout the state will receive this credit on your utility bills.

This payment comes from a California program that is fighting climate change. Your Climate Credit is designed to help you join in these efforts. You can use the bill savings from your Climate Credit however you choose, but you can save even more money by investing the savings in energy-saving home upgrades, including more efficient lights and appliances. You can find more information and receive rebates for these and many other energy-efficient choices for your home at www.EnergyUpgradeCA.org/credit.

The Climate Credit is one of many programs resulting from landmark legislation called the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. Together, these programs are cutting pollution, creating jobs, and investing in cleaner energy and transportation. For more information about climate change science and programs to reduce carbon pollution, visitwww.climatechange.ca.gov."

Am I the only one left that is both skeptic and open to changing my mind? That's about

- climate change aka global warming
- causes of climate change

Every week I read about how Antarctic ice a) melts, b) increases; both kinds of statements are explained by global warming or climate change. Did Antarctic ice ever change before? Or was it intact for thousands or millions of years until very recently?

Arctic ice is now what? Diminishing? North Pole is just water? Did not it happen a bunch of times before, from time to time?

I mean, it's okay either way; I'm just looking for sources, and somehow all I see is biased (both ways).
