linkedin friends

I'm kind of confused; I have tons of connections on linkedin with the people that I would either prefer not to connect or just have no clue who they are... but seems like linkedin is a totally different beast than livejournal, and it still makes sense to keep those connections except for outrageous cases (like kicking out from the network the people that lie on their profiles, the people that somehow turn out to be jerks, which is all an exception)...

No, I do not connect with people I don't like or never heard about, but...

What do you do with your linked profile?

Good for job search/recruiting/collaborator finding, provided that you have network of sufficient size.

Also, there are groups, that supposedly should be useful, but I guess you can find better communities if you do target search on the web instead.

PS Be careful with what you put on your profile - your employer can see it :)
