So, I took a look. I think the problem is mostly with Internet Explorer.
See what happens. If you open it in Firefox - fine, everything is displayed properly. But IE seems to know better what font to use... on the other hand, you may try this (http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/explorer.html).
Anyway, I think it may be not wise for google to specify exactly the font to use; generic "arial" is a better solution. I think.
Please let me know if this IE tweaking worked for you; if not, I'll ask my colleagues for advice... and anyway, you are welcome to use FireFox.
