We are assisting to recruit a Director of Science for a Seattle-based drug discovery start-up.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
50% Managing and working with laboratory technicians. (This position will require lots of hands-on lab stuff.) 30% Cell culture work (basic cellular analysis, apoptosis pathway analysis, receptor function / activation) 20% Grant, report and manuscript writing
Обязанности:
50% - Рруководить техниками в лаборатории (Много ручной работы в лаборатории). 30% - работа с культурами клеток (анализ клеток, анализ пути апоптоза, функции рецепции - активации). 20% - писать заявки на гранты, доклады и рукописи (опять, наверное, руками).
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a great deal of biotech experience in a central nervous system drug discovery program - Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s, for example. A Ph.D. who is used to actually doing a lot of work rather than delegating it. Ideally the person would be from a biotech where he/she started with a small company and helped grow it into a success.
