I have a pretty thick scull. Did not even notice the attempts, especially when surrounded by other people. But sitting at home, and being attacked with BS, it's really different.

The place where I am is not that bad actually. I'm talking more about the company with which I talked yesterday. This aspect I have to investigate more.
Man, I experienced it at tango.me - they wanted call logs in a database, as soon as possible, but could not figure out what kind of database. So I provided three implementations: mysql, mongo, and in memory. They had kicked me out soon, but half a year later I learned that they still can't decide which db to use for call logs.
You must not make fun of managers. If you offer 3 solutions, 2 of them must be unusable. And not simply unusable, but unusable in the way even the managers understand this.
In this case all three were pretty usable; they were changing their mind every day. Not that it bothered me; I enjoyed producing a flexible product. Too flexible maybe.
That is unlikely, because I do many different things. Even if one of them matches with what you think "eat your brain" is -- that does NOT mean that my overall behavior matches with what you think "eat your brain" is.
