take your life with Tylenol
Dec. 4th, 2003 10:40 amI regularly listen to Doctora Isabel, "angel de la radio", she is giving a fast and sensible, if not identical, advice to everyone calling, but during the breaks, I can't believe. They advertise Tylenol with these words: "Tomate la vida con Tylenol". I know, I know. It means something different if you do not translate it literally - but if you translate it literally...
But her callers stories... it is something. I can't stop listening.
A girl discovers that her boyfriend is her half-brother.
A woman with three kids and an abusive husband gets pregnant from a young relative
living with them, and does not know what to do next.
A man that has a "frigid" girlfriend, or rather a pen-pal, on the other coast, and does not know what to do with her when they meet (hey, friend, it is again not about you at all!).
A woman that lived with her husband for 13 years, then separated, moved to US, got a baby here from her lover, now her Mexican husband wants her back, and she is not sure.
A man goes to visit his country, Guatemala, for three weeks; he meets his ex there, and decides to stay, while his American wife has no idea what is going on.
An uncle that once sexually abused his niece is going to visit, and the mother does not know how to stop it.
A visiting sister smokes all the time, everywhere in the house, while there is a small baby, and the mother tried everything to convince her not to smoke, all in vain.
A man calls asking for an advice regarding his alcoholism - he drinks 8 ounces of beer once a week. Doctora asks, who told him he is an alcoholic - it was his wife. The advice is: tell her if she does not stop nagging you would drink 16 ounces.
