So, a colleague asks me how to get specific columns from a log file, should he use awk? I said: use cut, and looked around to pull the man page from my drawer. I had those man pages in 1998 in San Mateo while at Borland; I took them with me when I was transfered to Borland's Scotts Valley campus; I took them home when I left Borland; I kept them in my drawer when I worked in Fireclick, then then I took them to Google when I started there, and moved them from drawer to drawer while changing teams.

Now what. They did not allow me to take them out of Google.

They also lost my earphones and the powercord to my own printer when they brought me "my stuff", after my multiple strong reminders.
