The problem is, imagine, if you request a micro instance ($0.007/hr), you'll have just 2 gig of disk space. Not that it would not be enough (640k might be enough for my case), but installing latex, java, tomcat... in short, fuggedit. I'm getting a small instance. 4 times more expensive, but have 150 gig in mounted volume. So there.
Took me an enormous amount of time to figure out.
