Mueller etc

What totally confuses me today is the reluctance of a bunch of my friends here to recognize that the people Mueller indicted are all criminals (well, maybe after the court recognizes them as such), and these criminals are all connected to either the Russian government or Putin personally. But well, these friends are kind of insisting that anybody has the right to go ahead and try influence the elections.
