I'm not feeling well, brought some European virus (or Washingtonian one) home, and so there.
Working from my bed.
Took me some time to figure out wtf I actually should do. The case that I reassigned to Mike, it's actually my case. The thing is, there's an API, and jobs use that API, but they are not aware about updates in the records they receive.
So I found the service that produces that shit, and added the field, and, eventually, wrote a test. This thing will be "deployed" (actually, go to a library), an then it can be used. The client side code ("jobs") that pull the data does not care about the structure, so there's nothing to test there or even add.
Also, fixed a bunch of comp warnings etc.
At 3 we have an emergency meeting. We got a new "Senior VP". With a community college education. Кухарка будет управлять. We will see. Who fucking cares, actually. Unless he starts introducing mutual hatred, like in California. But he's in Georgia, so we will see.
He also confessed that there was a small layoff, in "data science" team. Nothing that has, is. Christian Data Science. Also he said that last year there was a 30% layoff. Which explains how come the majority of the pros are gone.
Anyway, by the end of the day I slapped together a PR, 13 files, one with the functionality, one with a new test case, and others with warnings fixes. Mostly the fixes are in arithmetics, like val n = Math.floor(a / b), where a and b are longs. Not a big deal, of course, but the compiler WARNED.
And again, I'm not feeling well.
