I don't know, a special day today, a meeting after a meeting.
Standup - explained again that the cases that I'm doing are somehow not listed in kanban, and explained again what exactly I'm working on: fixing the data structure in import job, and preparing a document to specify the actions to implement the switch from package pull to stream push.
Then Victor was giving a talk, "knowledge transfer" - good talks. I'm downloading all these videos.
Then we had a sprint planning meeting, and I again explained was I've been doing, and how many sprints the second part (pull to push) will take, agreed on sprint and a half; it also turned out that Renato's understanding of what "point" is (all these people are idiots, I believe; the scale is logarithmic, but it's too complicated for them) much smaller than what I saw everywhere else. NP then. I'll give it all more points.
Point inflation, probably. Who cares, right?
Then I had a 1-1 with Jacob (my manager), and we talked about ensuring that we are in control of swagger plugin, and figuring out what refactorings can we do, and can we do more ZIO in the code, and maybe even switch to Scala 3 (dreams, dreams, dreams, what Scala 3 if we have Spark).
Then I had a 1-1 with Victor, it's his last week here. He explained to me that shit with the history of incompatible data structure definitions, so I decided, fuck, I'll fix this one. Then we chatted for about an hour, on this and that topic, and he said that if we have questions, we can always contact him. Weird. Nice.
Then I started refactoring, kicking out the record definition duplication, and injecting explicit dependency, and then trying to make sure the tests pass (they don't yet).
And then it got dark, and, well, time to do my French, right? À demain!
