A special day. We had today a "Permanent Production Meeting", like they had at the Soviet factory I worked, 49 years ago. This all-day meeting was scheduled for, basically, the whole company (not exactly, but a lot). While they were talking, I opened a can with ratatouille, heated it... omg, omfg! It's so good! You saw the movie, right? I'm like that connoisseur in the movie. It's just beautiful. Even from the can.

Before the meeting started (at 16:00 CET), I had a chance to work, to do some docs updates, to figure out how to hold my experiment with JSON and Mongo - basically, I decided to go the short way, split two spikes, and do them separately. One, switching from pull to push (accepting deltas), and another to make it free-form. There's the third problem, dealing with Lucene search, but since I have no plans to kick out any data (later, later), it won't hurt to postpone it. Wrote to Renato about all this, but it was early morning for him.

Then I decided that unit tests with mocks don't solve the problem of testing whether the real Mongo will handle all of this properly (I already have tests that use mocks, and, well, what does it prove? Nothing.)

Started writing all this (kind of copy-pasting from my code in another module: making the library module usable will take some time).

Then I could not find a way to charge my work computer. Or my home computer. Oh, WTF.

Spent most of the rest of the day trying to solve this problem.

When I was in Agen, I at least checked slack (and sent my standup report); found that our partners (consumers of the stuff I wrote) ask strange questions about the contents of the tokens. Could not do anything while I was in my car, sitting in a parking lot of Boulanger, under a pouring rain, so shared my doubts about their request. Will answer in details later.

It all works now, and I'm in a meeting; I like what the guys talk about, and the plans (ok, I'm a naïve optimist), but I can't go into any details. Only when a guy was talking about Triton tokens, he was saying strange things, so I (impolitely) interfered, noticing that tokens are not encrypted, only base64-encoded, and if we want them encrypted, we can do it, but we have to communicate with Triton regarding that.

Oh. Anyway, the meeting has ended earlier than I expected (it's 21:56 now, it was supposed to last till 23:00). So, let me write my blogs and go to bed.

Good night.
