У России было какое-то подобие надежды.

И теперь его нет.

Don't I work too much? Well...

Spent most of my time bumping into obstacles: can't install this, can't install that. Then I had a 1:1 with Jeremey, where he said that he can't help me with installing, I forgot what, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker... But Esteban, a Columbian contractor, showed me  the docs, where all these instructions are, and which I can edit without all those negotiations with important people who don't like it when others interfere.

As to interactions with those people: I had updated one line in an official doc, saying that we need to use ssh for github, not https. After a week of discussions and delays they wrote a comment, saying that if you do this tricky trick, you can do it via https, so my doc update is not needed.

Seems like these guys are territorial, like some kind of hamsters. As if their problems could bother me. I'm not their employee, I'm a contractor! I don't care.

But it's different with our private doc, Esteban's and mine, I just edit it, trying this or that solution. (BTW, by the end of 2025 this doc is obviously just abandoned and, probably, lost.)

We had a meeting, probably a scrum meeting, at half past four. There were five of us, and I talked with Jeremey and Brad; two others were silent. I don't exclude it that there are things I'm not aware of. I showed them the code written by Chris, showed them the existing code, and gave them three solutions to choose from: a) wait till Chris merges his July pull request; b) take Chris' code and merge it manually into our project; and c) a pure hack:add a line to our code that add a a line to the log (but then deal with all the horror and hell in the logs, using some kind of tools...) And they say: never mind, just merge Chris' code. Wow, cool, I love it!

I also confessed that I don't really know how to find tags in their logs. Shared my screen - and they pointed right away how to do it. Now I know. There may be some questions, why this or that information is missing - but if I attach Chris' code, I'll figure it out.

Don't I love puzzles? I adore them.
