- Схватку с Америкой Россия уже практически выиграла. Осталось только оформить победу технически, на что может понадобиться от полутора, до трех лет.

Why am I saying it? Because I had two such cases today. One is about jenkins throwing test failures and "build script style error", and eventually I had three different pull requests; it took me half a day to make the third one pass through all those rabbit holes (needle holes?). Sent it to Brad to review. He is asking me why I removed integration tests in one of the modules. There's another Jira case, created by him, where he says that the whole module should be deleted, with moving some small parts to `common`. So?
Anyway, and then I spent time fucking with doc generation, trying to fix a makefile (no shit, makefile, in year 2024) and pretty obfuscated and sophisticated (but neat) shell scripts. Taking a break not even to think, but to plan.
By the end of the day, I think, almost all these problems were solved, and I can now populate the script, by which docs are generated (they already are generated) with the correct test data. No big deal eh? But I did have to take a break.
You know what's good in being a contractor? ALMOST NO MEETINGS! No distractions. I can just walk around home, paint (again) a piece of a wall, run the vacuum cleaner on the first (and second floor). Oh, did I walk out today? Hmm... yes, ok, I took out the recycles. Le recyclage.
