Spending all day (with some breaks) tweaking the scripts. Some progress, but the more I move over the code to Scala, the better.
By the end of the day got Devon to help me figure out wtf is going on with port forwarding. We did reproduce a bunch of Python errors... twice. Then Python surrendered (kubectl is in Python), and started working. Cool. And the requests are getting through. So I'm now tweaking the scripts to produce real results via the whole process. Shell scripting is a stupid occupation.
Had three meetings, will have one more. Basically, seems like the management is deeply impressed by the shit I'm doing. Last time I observed it, it was probably in Russia. In this country the management used to be either totally ignorant or too busy. Ok, Marissa maybe, as an exception. Well, whatever. FIIC ("fuck if I care").
But I'm enjoying it anyway. They threw in one or two more engineers to do some parallel stuff, based on what I've already done.
Jeremey, a manager, is proud of switching to a better, more convenient version of Circe (that's a crazy shit for JSON, written, I guess, by Travis Brown). Or maybe somebody is improving it now, not Travis, since the interface design looks more reasonable now.
