Spent some time trying to run tests that require docker locally. There was one small bug in docker's Ruby code, I just tweaked the script to ignore it. Still was not working. Eventually I figured that I use k8s to do port forwarding, so I guess they are just interfering. Whatever.
For the doc generation, now I need to access logs in datadog. Spent a day bugging Bermi, bugging John; got an API_KEY, got an APP_KEY (two different things), and eventually figured that since my sample requests don't send x-request-id, there's no way I can find something there. But if they do, things must be easier. So I slapped together a cheap x-request-id generator, combining mac address, current time in seconds (we are on a mac), and just plain counter. And a tag, of course.
That's it for today. Strange that I managed to get something out of people. Oh, and one PR was approved, so I merged it. It's not production, it's in `docs` folder - scripts to generate docs.
Now I have a vague feeling that tests (good tests) are a good source of samples to build docs from. Thinking about it.
Oh, and strangely, Jeremey was sending me, to my private email, regular invitations for 1-1 - and then removing them. Turned out, by mistake.
Also, asked him what am I supposed to do with "performance assessment page" that the HR sent me. I'm a contractor, my performance, in my view, is always five stars. Or six. Or even Eleven. They want to hear how I love myself? It turned out that no, they don't. This does not apply to me. I'm a contractor. Temporary husband. Something like a lover or something.
