Переводить нет смысла, очевидно.

Там ещё было третье, про любителей играть словами, но оно дурацкое.

Basically, 1) I'm getting more and more bored, and 2) all I see is nonsense.

Told my wife about political correctness in naming git branches. Politically correct companies call the most important version control branch "main". Traditional companies have been calling the most important branch "master". If they started like 20 years ago. Slavery was not there anymore, but people were insensitive. They were getting master degrees, used master disks... not anymore.

So, in our company some projects have "main" as main, other projects have "master" as main. Or main as master. Well, that's historical.

So in my scripts I check for master, and if missing, I use main.

Today I just noticed that "users" project has both "main" and "master" branches. And both are actively used. And now what?

What else? Oh, I have to deploy one module to prod. Of course I forgot how t.f. it's being done. But good that about 3 months ago they explained it all to me, at a standup, and I recorded it, and saved to my Downloads folder. Downloads is where I keep everything (before posting to a really safe place).

So I'm watching it.

But before that, I wanted to see that I can view the logs, right after deploying. But surprise, I found no logs in datadog. So I asked them. And I was told that only errors are reported in the logs. And the last errors happened... this morning. On a service that was deployed months ago. The error is of course a typical exception in "typelevel" shit. Which kind of gave me another argument for finding a ZIO company as my next adventure. With ZIO I can easily get in touch with John or whoever is working on it now (some good people left recently, and are now looking).

And Devon wrote to me that I should not care, unless it starts failing more often.

Ok, ok.

I think I'm too critical. Everything's fine. I'll just deploy this shit to prod and see that... well... that there are not many exception stacktraces. Oh, I think I'm familiar with this shit. It happened in another service before. And I was told not to care about it. Do I care? I don't even if they tell me to care. I had two heart attacks, and that's what I care about, eating good stuff and not caring about lives of the ignorants who are not interested in listening. Besides, a Curry-Howard-Lambek version of SKK=I is really beautiful.
