Since I’m on a duty, started with checking, what’s new, and with attemps to deploy the stuff I was going to deploy. Discovered that Esteban, yesterday, started the deployment, and canceled. Asked him. Mike answered that we better not deploy that server for a while. Ok, life’s becoming easier. How a manager can contribute to the process? Only by blocking something
Then he asked me to delete inactive users in production db. Yesterday Esteban almost wrote a sql statement for that. The statement show a lot of theoretical knowledge and zero practical experience. The script starts with “delete (*) from users where…”.
Theoreticians. Did they ever…?
Having familiarized with this 50-lines query, I tried to connect to the db, but which server is it?
The day has ended before anybody told me the url. Oh, and Mike wanted this “users extermination “ done today before the end of the day. Reminds me Google.
