Thinking back to Vernor Vinge and other William Gibsons, it was not so much the advances in networking or even AI that impressed the protagonists, but advances in HCI (human-comuter interface). There is still a long way, but it may well be the right direction.
Когда-то я получил в России патент на аналогичную идейку - оформить деятельность оператора одной там системы в виде игры: оператор получает очки за правильные действия и штрафуется за ошибочные. Очень хорошо тогда пошла идейка.
