Not on pd today, so I kind of worked.
First, the "privacy service" deployment was approved, and I pushed it to staging, together with the job. Everything works so far. Tomorrow morning will check the logs, and request the deployment to prod. Just to be able to trace the failures.
Then, also, spent time chatting with Chris regarding the PR where I just had tests prepared to validate the functionality I was going to push next.

But Chris was fucking picky, "remove this value that is not used" (the value is in TestBase.scala, and whose fucking business is what it is for).

Actually there are two. One is to check whether we are on a local machine (that's in tests), and another checks if we are in a debugger (then all timeouts become huge, to give people time). Since the only use case is commented out...

Anyway, while I was commenting out these two, on his whim, I, by mistake, had also pushed the next step, the functionality. It's a one-liner, but you won't find it, because there are also more test cases.

Chris got pissed off, and told me to send this to review to someone else. Sure. I have friends (his last name is Friend, but he's not one). Sent it to Karen.

Karen also reminded me how t.f. can I run the server locally and avoid problems with Mongo. I have to go to Mongo dashboard and add my IP to the list of IPs allowed to talk to Mongo. On staging machine. Who fucking cares, right?

Then we had a "standup", then we had a "planning", where Renato was trying to convince me to do what MVP needs and stop there (as if I fucking care, my stocks bring me more than I earn at my job anyway) - sure! We'll get back to it when our users start using it. Big deal.

Also, I got back to my OKR, where I was planning to upgrade one project to Scala 12 (or 13?) and start using ZIO.

We had a short, about 5 minutes, 1-1 with Karen, she is on a jet lag, so why should I waste her time; and since she answered my question anyway... Everything's fine.

Also, Priyanka in Africa was happy that I reviewed here PR.

I won't tell here, but IMHO female Indian programmers are best in this category. Absolutely. Next follow the Chinese ones, but for the Chinese gender does not matter. As to the Indians, males are idiots, females are extremely smart.
