It was an exhausting day. Ok, I was fixing both the branch where I now have 101 files, trying to synchronize it with the one for the older version - it does require some attention. Meanwhile I was bombed with not very reasonable user support cases.
One Natasha was complaining about her playlist suddenly losing a bunch of songs, and she only has 20 songs, and she does not remember which ones disappeared. I spent some time investigating how I can check out her playlist. Turned out that there's a url for it, and there's an API by which I can download all that information (104 songs listed in total). But what I found: you see some Mexican song on a page, and what sounds is something in English, and the lyrics are improperly rendered. So I contacted web guys, and wrote to our customer support asking what we can do with Natasha.
Another case is when someone closed his account, and opened another, via Google, and he does not know why his account is still free, while he says he paid. I don't know.
And yet another was totally messed up, so Karen wrote to that support person that we need more info; I also joined and said we need more info. But I only wrote to those support guys, and Karen was sure I was not participating.
Oh fuck, and that definitely is not the kind of job I'm created for.
In short, my sugar jumped up, and I'm still trying to beat it down.
By the end of the day I sent one small PR, with about 10 files, all in tests (and one README).
That's it. Tired. Tired of communicating with the people.
Ok, and Chris also found time to tell me that I should be reading emails from support - exactly at the time when I was in the dentist's office, of which I informed them yesterday.
But. Do I fucking care? No. I'm immutable.
