And today we had another meeting dedicated to what happened 10 days ago. What it was, Redis stopped working, and, as a result, we were returning HTTP 500 (but why?). Redis is a caching service. I may be kind of incompetent, but my question is: if caching is delayed, maybe we should bypass this caching and get the data directly, eh? Oh, whatever, these are DevOps issues, I'm clueless, I'm just a humble programmer.
Meanwhile, I wanted to try updating fake user records on Staging, to see the behavior... but I don't have access!
Really, I dont understand these DevOps people. It's just Staging. What will happen if we give access to everyone inside? Keeping real data on Staging is illegal anyway, right? Everything's fake there. No PII, no nothing. And?
No, anyway, I have to learn to run servers locally. I have to. Starting with running tests in IntelliJ. Nothing else to do anyway. I like this job. I'm doing the stuff I find necessary. Cool!
