Besides the funny misunderstandings and mishaps with the prs from bots (Sam helped me to figure out), I spent most of the time figuring out the shit with exceptions being logged with a message for each line of stacktrace.

Eventually I found it. It's not Vault (it behaves properly), it's about an error returned from Vault that is converted into an exception. IO monad my ass, throwing an exception. The code is copy-pasted by our Spanish predecessors, who did read the Red Book but either did not understand it, or understood it too literally (the book has some errors, yes, regarding monads).

Well, whatever. We had a small "guess the points" meeting, where Brad reads cases from Jira, and we are supposed to guess how many points they would be. I have no clue, except for some rare cases where I know wtf it is about, so I either was giving it 3 points, or just followed the others and gave an average. It's all just nonsense for upper management who is interested to see how our points per person (ppp) grow with time, meaning that we are making progress. Those scrum points are not even additive, but nobody understands what I'm talking about if I say that, so I don't.

By the end of the day we had a "standup". There were two of us, Jeremey, who is currently a manager of two teams ("midlevel"), and me. Nobody else bothered to show up. So I told Jeremey the story about Spanish guys copy-pasting their illegible shit that was never tested in bad cases. But who cares, right?
