Out of politeness took a look at jira case 674m, where our partner had described everything in good details, what to take where, so that I have no questions. It remains to go totally refactor the code. Then I looked for similar shit in other projects, and found that the class I need was copy-pasted, 1:1. Okey-dokey, Esteban was cutting corners, that's understandable.

Meanwhile, the time has come for the Lont Meeting ("permanently active production meeting", as it was called by the communists during Brezhnev's times). We were four. Buill, who got gracefully distracted for a moment from his amazing new bicycle. Janet, who got pretty much gone crazy after her son moved to Atlanta. Mike who does not fucking cares, and who find everything funny. And me, a poor sinner.

It started with reminiscences regarding what was good this year. Janet, of course, mentioned that her son has moved, and now she's getting annoyed by chemtrails, which cause her headaches. I don't know how long she can last in such a difficult situation. Bill showed his bicycle. Mike is going to a month-long visit Italy: after all, Vlad goes regularly to France, and he's okay; Mike wants it took, especially because Italiano is his native language. I told them how we had a long hike with Mimi, the cutest cat I met in my life; it was 7 miles along French trails. The listeners liked it. Further we discussed feral cats, who had how many. Somehow nobody likes possums. I don't know why. They are so cute. And humble. And useful. And they have beautiful hands.

Turning to business, we spend some time discussing two Jira cases. One was filed by Bill: "we need to add documentation to such and such end point". We agreed that this will take several days. (OMG, who pays for all that?!). Another one was filed by me: "wtf, on staging we regularly see in the logs "duplicate login error" - shouldn't we fix something in our code? Then we agreed that this case qualifies as an "investigation".

After that we had a warm goodbye (nobody bothered to express a wish for Janet to get rid of chemtrails). This was the end of the work day.  Actually, the meeting was supposed to drag till 3pm, but Bill urgently had to go ride his bicycle, and the others had supported the initiative.

Imagine how much effort it took me not to try to interfere to control the software development process and increase the efficiency.
