Мне попалась на глаза чудесная новость.

"Из Бурятии в зону проведения СВО военнослужащим доставили ковчег с частицей мощей православного святого Ильи Муромца. Отныне он станет духовным покровителем бойцов, выполняющих боевые задачи на Южно-Донецком направлении."

Илья Муромец, как известно, был монахом Киево-Печерской лавры. Я подумала, что мощи его, скорее всего хранятся именно там, и пошла в Википедию уточнить.

Оказывается, частичка, действительно, хранится в России (правда, непонятно, почему вдруг Бурятия).

 Spent a day slapping together a test to check whether the cache behaves properly. By the end of the day it was working and reporting a good behavior. 

Then I had a 1-1 with Mike. We mostly talked about Northern Italy and Southern France, and the Devon's 71-file prs. I like what he does, but I don't like the size. Strangely, Mike said that he (Devon) should better do what our customers want. Fuck, of course this is the first priority. It's like studying Chinese while your kids are hungry.

Then I went for a walk, and, during a walk, I figured that my test is wrong. When I returned, I looked at the test, updated it, it started showing what I suspected: CACHE DOES NOT FUCKING WORK! Wrote to the author of the cache adapter. 

The story is this.

At Google I took over Cache library. Because it was in a very bad condition. Fixed it; worked with Bob Lee (aka crazybob). Made it work.
Then I left, and Fry (I guess that's his name) took over, and rewrote it, improving. Good stuff, actually. A part of Guava.
Then Java people (forgot the name) kind of improve it even more, but I'm not sure.
Then Chris Davenport (our company's employee) slapped together an adapter. Which looked suspicious to me, but I had a vague feeling that it works.

But today I have a proof that it doesn't.

SO THERE. Too late to go fix it tomorrow (or go replacing it). But I already got a confirmation from Chris that he has no tests for delays and timeouts. Just no tests.

This is what fucking causes all those spikes in the services. Ok, that's my suspicion, so far. Working on it.

"Стал смотреть следующую багу; что-то поиск у меня не получается; попробовал поискать себя. На рабочей базе. Ну и нашел сюрприз. Оказывается есть комьюнити под названием "I Hate Vlad Patryshev". Там примерно 76 тысяч человек. Пишут обо мне так (в переводе с бразильского): "Этот идиот изобрёл прайваси. Он приделал прайваси к фотоальбомам и к запискам и того и гляди вообще всё скоро под прайваси посадит. Таким не место в интернете." Опа, как говорят в Бразилии (oops(en)->opa(pt-BR)). Я тоже записался в эту комьюнити. Классно же. Сижу, программирую, и ржу. О Бразилия! Manero!"
