Для тех, кто не понял:: "Если вас обидел СССР, КПСС, КГБ, русские чиновники, советский народ" - достаточно? Для меня достаточно. Только гебешная сволочь да бывшие коммунисты вот так вот выражаются - "если вас обидел...", "обиженные на cоветскую власть..."

I am insulted. 15 years ago I was not able to imagine Russia 2007 being ruled by an ex-KGB person. I also was not able to imagine Russian nationalists using explosives (see my another website http://kuraev.org (this is a mockup of old http://kuraev.ru / http://cirota.ru/forum ).

I believe there were several mistakes in Russian development. First of all, I an not sure it was a good idea to give large government companies to oligarchs. It would be much better to grow up many small companies from scratch. Eventually many of them would become large and outcompete government companies.

The second mistake was when Russian government started to sponsor Russian nationalists. I noticed it by watching Russian movie "Brat-2". The movie is nonsensical, but it indicated a shift in the Russian society. A dangerous shift.

I believe evetually Putin's folks will be gone and Russia will become more westernized. However it is also possible that Russia will stagnate or even turn into some sort of nationalistic society (it depends on the future price of oil). It is important to establish as much links to Russia from the West as possible so it will not happen. Look, this is NOT funny - http://dobrokhotov.livejournal.com/103187.html
