It was quiet today. So I worked on that oath project upgrade (with 102 files in pull request). Trying to make the code structure not depend on the version of play framework. WIP. Now three tests are failing. Anyway, whatever.

Meanwhile, also added some pertinent info to docs (how to deploy to canary - it was a secret knowledge until today), and got an amazing amount of good comments from Chris. Seems like he's just jealous, and when he feels like other people are posting something that he knows better (why t.f. was he keeping it secret for years?), he immediately gets involved.

Anyway, thanks to him we have some good docs.

At our 20h we had a hangout. Since Jacob was not here (some personal things, he has lots of them, with three adopted kids), we just hung out and talked about places, cats, dogs, Halloween, everything.

Seems like we have mostly cat people, except Renato, who has a rather crazy dog. Recently pissed on by a scunk. Recently... no, the story goes like this.

Renato was in Starbucks (why do people go to SBUX, I wonder) getting coffee; his dog was tied to a metal chair outside. Then the dog decided to run away (maybe saw another scunk). So he started running. With the metal chair behind him. Renato ran after him. For about a mile and a half. The chair was eventually destroyed, so Renato had to pay for it. But also the chair was banging anything that the dog was passing by. Like cars. Renato did not count the cars, but he was hiding at home, together with his dog, for about a week, after that.

As to coffee, Jeremy has a cat named Caffeine. A nice cat (I saw the picture); the only thing the cat does not like is when Jeremy puts on him a leather biker jacket. Then Caffeine just freezes. Jeremy also is taking care of two more cats, both belonging to his ex, who has gone to Vermont to visit his relatives, so while he, the ex, is away, Jeremy takes care of all the cats. One of them is a kitten who does not understand cats boundaries, so there are problems.

Safa showed his beautiful cat with a complicated name, something like "Maushuallia".

Karen does not have any pets. Other people were just silent and with cameras off. I also had my camera off in the beginning, since I'm in a robe, after shower. But eventually I just moved the camera up, so that they would not be watching me like this.

Basically we spent a nice hour chatting.

That was it; I merged and deployed the docs, but at this time I can hardly do any job now, too late. Mañana maybe.
