In short, an amazing physicist from Pulkovo got some Hawking-like ideas about to get back in time, 6000 years back, by flying fast to a star 3k light years away and creating a wormhole, which people from the future (year 8024) can come over hear and teach us how not to fucking kill other humans.
Well, so far they did not. But we all know, Pulkovo is a really strange place.
[personal profile] 12_nataliI bet this is something you can be curious about.

And why did I get into all this? Thanks to "Young Sheldon", I got curious about the topology of black holes and the space near event horizon.

Maybe I should have been a physicist. It's so funny! Not even close to Hopf algebras.

Check out this.

In short, a guy builds a car that feeds wheels rotation to a propeller, which pulls the car ahead, and it goes faster, etc.

Watch it, and if you are a physicist, explain this shit to me.

 P.S. понял, кажется.

please take a look at this github page, what do you think?

I just can't read it, because a) the guy obviously is clueless about how to use github, and readme.md points to a doc on google drive; b) I'm not a Physicist.

Knowledge and wisdom, savoir et connaître, ведать и знать, etc. Not only in Indo-European languages, but in may others (e.g. yakut).

For decades I tried to figure out how come this dichotomy is so ubiquitous, although not explicitly recognized.

It turned out it's a part of epistemology. Kant wrote about it. Popper, Quine. And of course it's a part of Navya-Nyaya logic.

(Just reading about "Einstein-Bohr discussions", that's where I found it.)

I was just thinking about what will happen if we put Maxwell's daemons in Faraday's cage. Instead of getting the Schrödinger cat alive and mewing, I found Casimir effect, which was explained by Veinik as just a kind of love that a charged plate experiences toward another similarly charged parallel plate that is close enough.
