1. Listening to Fox yesterday, enjoyed Hannity saying that he does not remember any administration that listened less to the public's opinion than the present one. He has a very short memory, does not he?

2. Looked up today the basic items of the new health plan. Well, first, there's no item I would object to. Objectively, they all look good. Except I don't know how they are going to find and penalize all those homeless people that do not have their insurance. That's kind of ridiculous, federal penalties. Who is going to do it, IRS? Second, personally myself may even profit from this plan. Which is a good point, too.

3. I know Obama is a liar. We should treat him similar to Kissinger: a very smart person who lies all the time. But that's okay; so far no harm done. You cannot seriously blame Obama or Bush for the financial crisis while holding the point that state a) is incompetent, and b) should not interfere.

So next time they ask me I'll probably vote for Obama. Look at how graciously he had shown middle finger (actually the middle finger of his African-African brothers) to the global warmingers!

Not quite.

It only takes being out of work for long enough and getting a pre-existing condition and you're screwed. Unless you are independently wealthy.

People that have more ("Valley programmers") just stand to lose more to a medical bills crisis.

If you're in a crisis now - you get to profit. If you're not, and you get fired, etc. you'd probably be forced to pay for insurance anyway until you have no money (for extended definition of "no money" - not actually 0 dollars but little enough to qualify for govt welfare help).
Again, if you get ill now between jobs, and you didn't pay insurance between jobs, then under the new system you'd be better off. But you can't plan for getting ill or know it in advance, so I'm not sure how one can claim one would be better off - unless he plans _both_ getting fired and getting ill, which I don't think is the case.
