For some stupid reason replaced one WS client variant with another (both are parts of play, and I just got distracted). Of course changing client does not help the server to start.
In other projects I was just launching the app by myself - maybe that's what I should be doing here, I don't know. Investigating weird behavior of crazy other people's code takes several times more time than just writing your own, simple code.
Well, whatever.
Actually, most of the day were meetings. And an interview.
A guy from North Carolina, first education in psychology, then he had a head trauma, could not continue, so he picked up another profession, took courses in a college; got totally hooked on programming, went to a startup, the startup was acquired by IBM, so he spent some time in Watson Hills, where a French team imposed Scala, and he read the Red Book, FP in Scala (pretty hard reading), meanwhile he also played with Raspberry Pi, implemented some radio stations streams system; published an article about this; his code is pretty good (saw it on github), he also showed me his code on intellij; asking him to write something stupid would be just an insult, and we chatted about this and that - e.g. how did he learn unittests? What's his understanding of monads. In short, a big talent.
That's it for today. I love talented people, a lot.
