imagine what I'm trying to figure out

On a 1x1 square of real numbers there's a parametric curve, x(t), y(t). Now "they" want me to calculate "Area Under Curve", aka an integral of y over x. My next n questions are: what the fuck (and what do they mean by "under")?

Ну да, максимум - но может получиться пила; поэтому надо сначала перейти на верхнюю кривую, просто интерполяцией. Не совсем тривиально, наверно.
