Why it's not a problem for JetBrains or Kaspersky ?
I think they are under the same "roof".
My guess they are the part of that house. Lol.

I don't understand enough model of JetBrains, so will not say any about.

For Kaspersky, I have speak with HR's, what I see: they looking for persons, who will work officially 60 hours per week (only Sunday day off, all other days they work 10 hours per day).

And work is just ten hours per day find patterns of viruses and add to database - very routine.

They have very few persons, who make GUI and DB, 1-2 architectors, and support of already working engines, and that's all technical positions - others marketing/design.

Why not?
Many-many years ago I have conversations with few persons from KGB (I know this for sure, because my friend's mother works there as translator, and few times we met in cafe with her colleagues).

These persons where different, some intelligent, some not much, but I'm sure about one thing - order of their chief will be executed, because there is system.
